PROGRAM MANAGER

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR                   Program Coordinator

DUTIES: (Summary Only)     Evaluates and assesses skills, behavior and attitudes of clients; analyzes assessment results; recommends placement and programming; develops and is responsible for implementation of individual plans and behavior support plans within established timelines;  monitors client’s work performance, skill development and behavioral and survival skill development and maintains progress notes; counsels clients and reviews IP regularly; recommends changes; assists clients in developing vocational skills.  Monitors training of clients in obtaining progress in habilitation skills (e.g., living skills, travel skills, survival skills, etc.); maintains client training and evaluation records; develops work assignment plans; recommends placement in work places or workshop; provides guidance and discipline to clients; assists clients with transportation to and from job sites; maintains records of job site performance; monitors client’s workshop production to ensure maintenance of contract quantity and quality goals.  Attends to physical needs of clients as necessary (e.g., assists with feeding, toileting, changing soiled clothes, mobility, illness, etc.); lifts, positions, and moves clients in a safe manner, according to in-service training, using proper lifting techniques. 

QUALIFICATIONS:   Minimum of Bachelors degree in appropriate field with training or experience in working with individuals with developmental and sensory disabilities; strong background in Special Education teaching techniques as well as verbal and physical behavior support interventions preferred.  Possession of or ability to obtain Adult Services Certification, Specialist level.  Must meet requirements to transport consumers, pass all background checks, and drug screen.

HABILITATION TECHNICIAN (Floater)

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR  Program Coordinator or Program Supervisor

DUTIES: (Summary Only)  Provides training, supervision and habilitation services to clients in various basic skill areas (e.g., mobility, self-help skills, social and emotional skills, communications, motor skills, functional academics and daily living skills); provides training and supervision in production skills and simulated training in accordance with Individual Plans (IP); utilizes systematic training methods and procedures to implement IP objectives; monitors clients' development during training as outlined by individual plans; maintains atmosphere of effective discipline and encouragement in training programs; assignment area and consumers may change based on the needs of the agency throughout the workday. Assists client to achieve goals and programming as identified by IP; facilitates communication with clients through use of sign language, picture communication, etc.  Performs daily documentation of client progress; participates in staffings and development of IP's for clients; assists in establishing goals and setting up programs to accomplish objectives; prepares plans for instructional activity, obtains necessary materials and equipment for training. Monitors clients as directed; assists clients onto and off of buses and in and out of work area; determines need to call (and calls) nurse or program manager to assist clients as necessary; completes seizure and accident reports as required.  Administers oral and topical medication(s) to clients after receiving appropriate training, and when delegated by a Registered Nurse employed by the Board.  May be assigned to enclaves, workshops, or other programs as needs dictate.  Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:   Minimum of high school diploma or GED.  Possession of or ability to obtain ODMRDD Adult Services registration and/or certification within the probationary period.  Must maintain registration/certification.  Ability to lift, carry, and position adult consumers in a safe manner.  Successfully pass pre-employment BCII check, Abuser Registry check, and Nursing Registry check.

DIRECTOR OF ADULT SERVICES

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR  Superintendent

DUTIES: (Summary Only)  Manages the operation of the Adult Programs, including community employment services, sheltered workshop opportunities, community work crews, day habilitation services, and community leisure and recreational activities; provides leadership, direction and planning for daily activities of the adult program.  Supervises and mentors assigned personnel, including middle management staff; assures orientation, training, evaluation and ongoing development  of adult services staff.   Assures Adult Service compliance with ODMR/DD accreditation, CARF, and other required reviews. Assists in the development of the agency strategic plan with an emphasis on the goals and objectives of the adult services division.  Develops Non-Profit Board annual budget with Business Operations Director; provides sound fiscal management for non-profit corporation and oversees Non-Profit Board business operations and planning in accordance with state & federal laws (e.g., Department of Labor, Division of Wage & Hour); assures that the Non-Profit business operations meet standard auditing procedures; reports monthly to the Non-Profit Board concerning business operations; serves as the Non-Profit Board liaison to the MR/DD Board.  Develops and implements policies and procedures, monitoring programs for compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and accreditations. Integral member of senior management team and several committees; communicates and interacts with other directors, agencies, area professionals and the general public, developing and maintaining community networks. Oversees staff adherence to policies and procedures; assures compliance with health and safety regulations; assures the health and safety of individuals served.  Prepares and maintains required records and reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:   Master’s degree in related field and five years of management experience with County Boards of MRDD.  Must possess or be eligible for ODMRDD Adult Services Management Level 2 or 3 certification.  Successfully pass pre-employment BCII check, Abuser Registry and Nurse Registry Check.

COMPENSATION:    Commensurate with training, education, and experience.  Comprehensive package including major medical, vision, dental, prescription drug and life insurance.
